In 2022, women founders in the United States received a paltry 2% of capital investments — the lowest percentage since 2017’s 2.6%, according to PitchBook data. Funding for women entrepreneurs has yet to rebound from the pandemic, and is anticipated to shrink further due to the looming economic recession.
